Bruce Willis, de son vrai nom Walter Willis, est un acteur américain né le 19 mars 1955 sur la base militaire d’Idar-Oberstein, en Allemagne.
Son père, David, était mécanicien militaire américain et sa mère, Marlene, est d’origine allemande. Ils ont trois autres enfants.
Il est d’abord connu comme acteur principal de films d’action, qu’il ponctue par son humour. Ses derniers films, comme Sixième Sens ou Incassable, ou encore Otage et Sin city, montrent un autre aspect de ses talents de comédien : il y aborde des rôles beaucoup plus profonds et psychologiques.
